Pathways

Standard: To qualify as a Professional Business Advisor (SA), an individual needs to comply with all the academic, practical and assessment requirements specified below.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL): Individuals who have acquired sufficient technical knowledge and practical competencies can qualify through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. The RPL process considers work experience and skills gained before, during or after academic studies, and both formal and informal learning is measured, mediated for recognition, and certified against the SAIPA Competency Framework.

Academic Requirements

  • A qualification at least at NQF level 6

Practical requirements

  • 18 Months or more of verifiable practical experience in a tax environment, or
  • Four years of verifiable practical experience in a tax environment and apply for RPL

Assesment

Successful completion of the SAIPA CoBA Professional Business Advisor Assessment.
