Ms Subbiah’s career spans actuarial science, risk management, and corporate governance. With a deep passion for mathematics from an early age, she demonstrated exceptional academic excellence, where she completed her degree in Actuarial Science with Cum Laude honours and a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction. She was also recognised as one of South Africa’s Top 100 Brightest Young Minds, an initiative aimed at developing future leaders to address challenges across the African continent.

She currently serves on multiple Boards, leveraging her expertise to drive meaningful impact. She has also served on numerous Board Committees including Audit, Risk, HR and Remuneration, Nominations, Investment, Insurance, Actuarial, Finance, Credit, as well as Social and Ethics.

Her designation as a Certified Director by the IODSA demonstrates her extensive knowledge of the Companies Act, and the King Code on Good Corporate Governance. She was chosen to be part of a taskforce set up by the International Actuarial Association, to provide actuarial support towards achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
