SAIPA Accounting iNdaba 2019

The Future-Ready Professional Accountant in the 4th Industrial Revolution

DATES: Tuesday 13th – Thursday 15th August 2019
VENUE: Cape Town International Convention Centre

The 4th Industrial Revolution is here! But emerging technologies, new business models and evolving client expectations threaten to upend traditional accounting services. Now is the time for Professional Accountants everywhere to master disruption and become digital authorities. Join an expected 1000 delegates at the SAIPA Accounting iNdaba 2019 for a 3-day long deepdive into this and other trending topics, such as IFRS, SMPs, tax and public sector accounting.

Our presenters range from respected local subject matter experts to well-known international authorities, as well as a distinguished keynote speaker.

They represent respected professional bodies such as: International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB), and Accounting Standards Board (ASB).

Our speakers include:

  • Darrel Scott, IASB board member
  • Winnie Kiryabwire, IESBA Board Member
  • Lindy Bodweig, IPSAS Board member
  • Jeanine Poggiolini, Accounting Standards Board

You can attend their sessions at our main auditorium and any of the two breakaway sessions. Also, two think tanks will each provide a semi-enclosed area in the centre’s main exhibition hall where you can listen to short presentations on selected topics, such as Cloud Accounting, over a Bluetooth earphone. Plus, there will be panel discussions where subject specialists will unpack critical concerns.

On the first night, we’ll host a relaxing cocktail party, affording you the opportunity to settle in and mingle. Then, on Wednesday, you’ll attend a gala evening, where our presentations will be complemented by fine dining and stimulating entertainment.

The following delegate pricing packages include attendance at all three days of the conference, a place at the opening cocktail event and a reservation for the Gala Dinner. The once-off admission fee gives you access to any and all sessions you prefer.

Partners packages allow accompanying partners to attend the Gala Dinner on Wednesday 14 August 2019. At an additional cost, we are making available a pre-arranged tourist package for partners.
