COMPANY NEWS – South African Institute of Professional Accountants
1 June 2018
As previously communicated, the Board of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) held a Special Board Meeting on Friday the 1st of June 2018 regarding the way forward after the recent departure of its CE Mr Bongani Coka.
Earlier in May the board reached an agreement with SAIPA’s CEO Bongani Coka that his contract will come to an end on 31 May 2018.
The Board has appointed Mr Shafiek Dollie as an Executive Chairman of SAIPA with immediate effect. He will take up the role and responsibilities of the CE position pending the recruitment and appointment of a permanent CE following due and proper process.
The SAIPA board again reaffirms its commitment to growing SAIPA to the benefit of its members and the accountancy profession. It remains dedicated to upholding the aspirational status of the Professional Accountant (SA) and other SAIPA designations.
