Colin Timmis

Colin registered with SAIPA as a professional accountant in 2004 and ran a traditional accounting firm for 8 years.

In 2011, he founded South Africa’s First Cloud Accounting Practice, real time accounting, which went on to become one of the fastest growing emerging market cloud accounting firms, with offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Colin worked with BDO in 2016, before being appointed by Xero as South Africa Country Manager, and is widely regarded as an expert in cloud accounting best practices.

Colin is married to 1 wife, has 3 children, has completed the Iron Man 5 times, and the Comrades Marathon 12 times, and is passionate about helping thousands of South African Accountants, and SMEs thrive.

Professor Rashied Small

Professor Small heads the Centre of Future Excellence in SAIPA focusing on a variety of future led initiatives in reskilling and upskilling.

He is instrumental in providing input and support to aspiring Professional Accountants (SA); developing SAIPA’s CPD programmes; Project Achiever and Project Achiever Extended programmes; setting and moderating the SAIPA Professional Evaluation; consulting on educational and technical issues; presenting training and technical workshops; and assisting in providing input and comments to IFAC and accounting standards.

Kantha Naicker

Kantha is Chairman of the SAIPA Board, and a Professional Accountant (SA). She is also a successful businesswoman of a women led & owned Accounting Practice as well as an Activist involved in various initiatives that are targeted at uplifting young professionals. Her motto in life is to try and have fun while making a difference in somebody’s life each day, through acts of kindness and gratitude.
