The SAIPA Business Rescue Certificate Programme is a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience designed to equip Professional Accountants (SA) and Business Advisory Professionals with the essential knowledge and tools to effectively assist clients in navigating business rescue procedures and processes.
Successful completion of this course will grant you a SAIPA Business Rescue practitioner designation which is a pre-requisite to the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) licensing and permitting you to practice business rescue.

This is a relevant and practical course that deals with the Most recent Case Law which also deals with Legal uncertainty, e.g. Section 153 of the Act, while unpacking relevant matters around Post Commencement Finance. This programme will allow you to engage directly with well-seasoned and experienced Senior Business Rescue Practitioners as well as network with fellow professionals.
Earn your certification
Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will receive an Acknowledgement of Competence Certificate, and a Letter of Good Standing specific for Business Rescue that enables them to apply for a Business Rescue Practitioner license with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).
Meet Our Expert Facilitators
Stefan Steyn
Stefan Steyn brings 29 years of experience as a SAIPA Practitioner, is a TMA – SA Award Winner 2022 for the 2nd most jobs saved in Business Rescue and has been a Senior Business Rescue Practitioner since 2012. With 127 business rescues under his belt, Stefan is also the Director of Business Real Time Management System (Pty) Ltd and Partner at Limarco Business Rescue (Pty) Ltd. He has been a Business Advisor since 1998 and holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce (MComm) from the University of Pretoria.
Div De Villiers
Div De Villiers has 22 years of experience as an SME business owner-manager, including managing a livestock farm (Kaalplaats Boerdery) and operating successful businesses. With 34 years of experience in development finance, Div is a Director of management consultancies Dimension Capital Consulting (Pty) Ltd and Regen Turnaround Solutions (Pty) Ltd. Certified and licensed as a Business Advisor since 2002 and a Business Rescue Practitioner since 2015, Div holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce (MComm) from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
