Become SAIPA Certified Assessor. Drive your career forward. Add assessor knowledge and skills to your repertoire. Participate in live and 100% online interactive sessions, where you’ll connect with like-minded individuals, sharing experiences and insights that will deepen your understanding of the role of Assessors. SAIPA is introducing a new Assessment and Quality Review Certification!  On the completion of the Assessor Training and subject to your experience, you will be added to SAIPA’s pool of Assessors for selection to assess trainees and/or Accredited Training Offices and/or Tertiary Institutions and/ or Quality Reviews in Practice, Business, Academia and the Public Sector.  The general course is compulsory for all aspiring SAIPA Assessors. They can then select an assessor course in one or more specialist areas.

  • To conduct assessments for recognition of prior learning candidates.
  • To assess the readiness of Higher Education Institutions for SAIPA accreditation and conduct reviews of SAIPA Training Centres.
  • To be considered by SAIPA to conduct Quality Reviews in Practice, Business, Academia and the Public Sector.

    Certification

    • Upon successful completion of each module, SAIPA will issue an achievement certificate to attendees. Once all the required modules have been successfully completed, attendees will be awarded the SAIPA Assessment and Quality Review Certification.

    1. EVALUATOR/ASSESSOR – GENERAL COURSE

    Compulsory Module – 7 days

    This module will cover the fundamentals of assessments in the education and professional landscape. The module outcomes will focus on developing the skills required to conduct assessments efficiently and effectively.

    Investment: R3500.00 inclusive of VAT

    The General course is compulsory.

    2. EVALUATOR/ASSESSOR SPECIALISATION – EDUCATION AND TRAINING

    Accreditation of Institutions of Learning – 2 days

    This module will cover the assessments process for accrediting tertiary institutions and service providers offering academic and training tuition to aspiring Professionals in the field of specialisation.

    Investment: R3500.00 inclusive of VAT

    3. EVALUATOR/ASSESSOR SPECIALISATION – TRAINING CENTRES

    Accreditation of Training Centers – 2 days

    This module will cover the assessments process for accrediting training providers (ATC) offering training for occupational qualifications.

    4. EVALUATOR/ASSESSOR SPECIALISATION – TRAINEES

    Level of assessor will be dependent on their qualifications, designation/s experience – 2 days

    This module will cover the assessments process for monitoring and evaluating the development of trainees compliance with occupational qualifications and competency framework.

    5. REVIEWER – PROFESSIONALS IN PRACTICE

    Engagement quality review specialisation – 3 days

    This module will cover the assessments process for monitoring and evaluating the services rendered by professionals in compliance with the code of conduct, ethics code and quality management standards.

    6. RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING SPECIALISATION

    3 days

    Recognition of Prior Learning is a process whereby prior learning can be formally recognised in terms of registered qualifications. This module provides the required knowledge and skills to evaluate the SAIPA Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) applicants.
