SAIPA Continued Professional Development (CPD) Events / Workshops

SAIPA Continued Professional Development (CPD) Events / Workshops

SAIPA encourages and supports a culture of ongoing learning, personal and professional development and Empowerment by providing abundant opportunities for the continuous development of our Members. It is also an opportunity for non-members to see what we do- so we encourage non-members to book for these events. Our attendees are SAIPA members and non-members, and include, for example, business owners, decision-makers and high net-worth individuals and work across a wide spectrum of South African business, from large corporate entities to small accounting practices.
SAIPA’s Continued Professional Development (CPD) programme develops courses and resources that allow our members to:

  • Continually develop, update and maintain education and skills to improve their professional Capacity
  • Achieve competency in specific areas that they require additional knowledge and expertise
  • Apply this professional knowledge as well as skills, values, ethics and attitudes to individual Professional activities and responsibilities,
  • Increase credibility, transparency and accountability within our profession

As SAIPA is committed to delivering value to our members we also offer an Annual CPD Subscription Fee which makes it more affordable for our members to access a range of SAIPA's services for continued development.
The CPD event attendees are Professional Accountants, who, by being SAIPA members, attend the events to obtain their CPD points (SAIPA Members are required to hand in a schedule of 20 structured and 20 unstructured hours for each calendar year for a 3 year cycle on which SAIPA does audits to ensure compliance- attendance of the CPD events is one avenue of obtaining these hours). More about CPD requiremements here  and more about structured and unstructured hours here.
