PROFESSIONAL EVALUATION PREPARATION COURSE
The PE Preparation Course is based on the ideals that even though the examination is of a practical nature many of the candidates have not studied or written examinations for approximately three years. This course is in the form of an interactive workshop designed to provide candidates with a refresher on the major topics; the main focus is on developing examination techniques and strategies rather than detailed information on the subject material.
 
WHAT WILL YOU ACHIEVE FROM THIS COURSE
 
Candidates will be successfully prepared with the necessary skills required for the PE examination with particular focus on the following areas of development:
  • Improve the examination techniques and strategies
  • Provide a brief overview of key topics in the proposed assessment syllabi
  • Planning a strategy to pass – obtaining the minimum pass mark initially
  • Time management – specifically minimizing time wastage during an examination;
  • Strategy for scoring marks – minimizing the risk of bogged down within a particular
  • An approach to answering multiple choice questions (MCQs)
  • Planning an answer for longer questions
PROGRAM
The course consists of three components:
1.     Refresher and overview of key topics within the syllabus with a focus of answering such topics within an examination
2.     Examination techniques for MCQs and practical questions
3.     Mock questions to assess the application of the skills developed

REGISTRATION FEE
 
R 1955.00 per candidate. Vat inclusive
The course will commence from 8:00 – 16:30 on Friday and Saturday Refreshments: The venues will offer water, tea on arrival, midday tea as well as lunch. The Fee includes: A one and a half day seminar, a set of course notes, tea on arrival, midday tea as well as lunch
 
 
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • This registration does not guarantee a place for the Professional Evaluation exam, you will have to complete a separate registration for the PE by the closing date of 30th September 2016
·         A minimum of 10 candidates is required per venue for SAIPA to run with the course
