I have a client who has made legal expenses in a case against the CCMA. He won the case witch resulted in him getting his job and his salary back, witch would be a taxable income. Thus I would like to know if this legal expenses is deductible under article 11(a) of maybe 11(c).
Be advised that in income tax there is seldom a direct answer. Firstly, we do not have sufficient details information about your client’s situation, and the tax outcome depends entirely on the circumstances of the individual taxpayer.
