HYDE PARK HIGH SCHOOL MAKES A MARK IN JOHANNESBURG
REGION OF 2007 NATIONAL ACCOUNTING OLYMPIAD

Hyde Park High School pupil Shaun Crossman was the second-placed student in the Johannesburg Region of the 2007 National Schools Accounting Olympiad administered by the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA). Crossman, who achieved a mark of 70%, received a cheque for R2000.00 from sponsors Softline Pastel Payroll.

A total of 3000 entries were received nationally, of which just 95 made it through to the second round. Hyde Park entered six pupils, five of whom made it through to round two – a good achievement, bearing in mind that a total of 3000 entries were received nationally and just 95 went forward to the second round.
